What you get
Once approved, you receive permission to board a flight to Canada. This authorization is digitally linked to your passport.
What it costs you
The application fee is $7 CAD. Once it is approved, the authorization remains valid for 5 years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.
The catch to know
The eTA is only required if you are arriving by air. If you are entering Canada by land or by sea, you do not need an eTA.
