Union Training Assistance Programme: Who Qualifies and What You Get

NTUC union members can receive funding to help cover the costs of training courses for professional development.

The Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) provides financial support to help union members pay for various training courses to improve their skills.

Who it's for

This programme is available specifically for members of NTUC unions.

What you get

You can receive funding to cover 50% of the cost of your training courses. This assistance is capped at a maximum of $250 per year.

What it costs you

To access this benefit, you must pay your union membership fees. Additionally, you must have been a member of the union for at least 6 months before you are eligible.

The catch to know

You cannot wait a long time to get your money back. You must submit your claim for the training costs within 6 months after you have completed your course.

How to apply

  1. Complete your chosen training course.
  2. Gather your relevant course completion documents and receipts.
  3. Submit your claim through the official online portal.
  4. Wait for the claim to be processed by the issuing body.
